Why build a Custom Test Rig?

Testing will give the best results when it simulates the environment and variables in which the problem can be seen. This can be hard for instance, when the component does not fit to a standardized test.

Examples of Our Custom Test Rigs

This rig was designed by I.T.S to simulate a pump that has been troubled by severe wear in the pump liner.  This rig simulates the pump and allows for different types of coating liners to be tested to determine the best suitable liner. This was a cheaper alternative to destroying expensive commercial pumps for testing.

This Burner Rig was designed to test ceramic coated buttons in a heated environment.  The furnace combusts fuel with added contaminates to test what effects it has on the coated buttons.

This Impact Fretting Rig was designed to be mounted into our servo hydraulic frames.  This allowed the rig to utilize computer software for precise control and digital data collection.  The test can be run at room temperature or at elevated tempertures.
